Aviam Offshore Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited operates under the Cooperative Law of Lagos State of 1979, with a primary focus on delivering quality and efficient services to its members, aimed at enhancing their economic and social well-being. Originally established with a membership base of over 20 individuals, the cooperative has steadily expanded to include more than 300 members, drawing membership from the staff members of Aviam Offshore Engineering Co Ltd, AITEO E&P and Geoplex (formerly Kca Deutag).

Initiating its operations by mobilizing savings and offering modest loans of N50,000 at inception, the cooperative has evolved to grant loans exceeding N10 million to individual members. Over the years, remittances in the form of savings and various loan refunds from members have shown substantial growth. The society also initiated various bespoke facilities that have delighted the members over the years aside these loan services.

Aviam Offshore staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited provides a range of services, including Real, Short-term, Special and Emergency Loans facilities to members with a fully computerized operation that allows members direct access to their respective ledgers. These facilities come with minimal interest rates compared to what obtains in the banks and other financial services in Nigeria. The society's performance has intensified in tandem with its expanding operations.

The society's headquarters is situated at Plot 74, Emmanuel Abimbola Cole Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos with zonal offices in Port Harcourt in Rivers state, Warri in Delta state, and Yenogoa in Bayelsa. The success of the society is attributed to the unwavering commitment and dedication of its staff, with their training and welfare being top priorities for the Management Committee.

The cooperative is governed by its approved Bye Laws, which outline the rules and regulations guiding all activities, including membership and the roles of elected officials. These officials encompass both Management and Supervisory Committee members responsible for overseeing the society's operations in accordance with the established Bye Laws.
